Established in 1892, Asahi is a Japanese brand that manufactures comfortable and easy to wear shoes in beautiful shapes. With great experience and devotion for their craft Asahi constantly strive to develop and improve their products.

Asahi built the belted low based on an old Nike tennis sneaker that used canvas tape in an effort to keep the sole and upper intact during intense tennis. By stitching a cotton herringbone belt between the 2 incompatible materials, Asahi created the ultimate long-lasting seal, and a new durable sneaker backed by artisanal skills.
